Global Community Makes Record $75 Billion Commitment to End Extreme Poverty

Today in Indonesia, the global community agreed to step up the fight against extreme poverty with a record $75 billion commitment for IDA, the World Bank’s fund for the poorest countries. This replenishment will enable IDA to scale up its work on pressing global challenges — #conflict, #fragility and violence; #climatechange; #gender inequality; governance and institution building; and #jobs and economic transformation.
Since 1960, we’ve helped countries transform the lives of the poorest, boost economic growth and respond to crisis. We’re proud to have the support of more than 60 donor and borrower governments to continue this critical work over the next three years. #IDAWorks #endpoverty
