The lifeline of Andhra Pradesh, the Polavaram project has recently created two Guinness World Records.

1.The Polavaram project entered Guinness World Records for pouring the highest quantity of concrete in 24 hours.

2. The project created a record for largest continuous concrete pour in 24 hours.

According to reports, the Navayuga Engineering Company which has taken up a part from the project has completed about 32,300 cubic meter of concrete works in span of 24 hours.

With this achievement, The Polavaram project had broken the previous record of 21,550 cubic meters concrete work that was set in Dubai in year 2018.

The Polavaram project is a multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the West Godavari District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh.

The project has been accorded national project status by the Union Government of India and will be the last to be accorded the status.

The project’s reservoir spreads into parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha States also.
