Here’s Why US Blocked $350 MN Aid To Pakistan | US Defence | Haqqani Network
According to latest reports, the United States of America has blocked $350 million in alliance support funds to Pakistan as Islamabad failed to act against the dreaded Haqqani network.
Pakistan-based Haqqani network is accused for a number of high-profile terror attacks on US and Western interests in war-torn Afghanistan.
US Defence Secretary James Mattis informed congressional defense committees that he was not able to officially state that Pakistan has taken adequate actions against the Haqqani network to permit full reimbursement of Coalition Support Funds.
This is for the second consecutive year that the US Defence Secretary has rejected to certify that Pakistan has taken agreeable action against the Haqqani network.
