How do we move rocket parts that’ll carry humans farther into space than ever before? The barge Pegasus, seen here, will carry a test article engine section of our Space Launch System rocket that will be tested at our Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama. While there, hydraulic cylinders will be electronically controlled to push, pull, twist and bend the test article with millions of pounds of force to ensure the hardware can withstand the extreme forces of launch and ascent.
