Hoping for a cloudy future for Caribbean statistics

The World Bank has just launched the Cloud for Development project (C4D), which aims to help move National Statistics Offices (NSOs) in developing countries to the cloud. As recent hurricanes Irma and Maria have shown, NSOs play a critical role in disaster recovery and preparedness. At the same time, their Reliance on local IT Infrastructure makes them highly vulnerable to natural disasters. C4D plans to provide technical and legal assistance to countries interested in working with cloud providers. wrld.bg/vytg30gh2DZ
