Telangana, Australia to sign MoU to help state in various sectors

Australia is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Telangana to help the state in the Sectors of education, skill development, training, agriculture, tourism and informational technology.

Telangana and Australia agreed to prepare a preliminary
blueprint for the partnership and future course of action. 

During a meeting with the Australian delegation led by
Northern Territory Government Education and workforce Minister Selena Uibo at
the State Secretariat on Wednesday, Chief Secretary SK Joshi indicated that an
MoU will be signed between the two governments with special focus on education
including faculty and student exchange programmes, training, curriculum
development, and other activities.

Joshi also said that both governments can also agree to work
in the Sector of Startups as Hyderabad was emerging as the startup capital of
India in future. The We-Hub provides such opportunities for startups promoted
by women entrepreneurs, he said.

technical Education Commissioner Navin Mittal also discussed
the possibility of holding jointly organising conferences, exchange programmes,
training workshops and also partnership summits to promote cooperation between
Australian and Indian institutions, especially from Telangana State.

Uibo said the Australian government was ready to work in the
sectors of disaster Management, education, solid waste management and
agriculture among others.

Uibo said she would make efforts to prepare an action plan
and also draft an MoU to work in coordination with the Telangana government and
also Indian institutions in sectors of mutual interest.
