Supreme Court summons M Nageshwar Rao in Bihar shelter home case. Supreme Court on Thursday issued a contempt notice to former CBI interim director M Nageswara Rao. Supreme Court rebuked on CBI for transferring its former joint director A K Sharma. He was involved in Bihar shelters home probe.
The notice was issued for transferring Sharma to CRPF on 17 January without its prior permission. Rao has been summoned to make his appearance before the court on February 12. Supreme Court also directed in charge of Director Prosecution, Bashu Ram to look.
The bench headed by Ranjan Gogoi directed the current CBI Director Rishi Kumar Shukla to present a list of officials who were involved in transferring Sharma out of the probe. SC has also led to move the shelter home case from state court to a court in Delhi for a free and fair trial. The Court asked the judge to complete the claim within six months.
