Britannia Industries Ltd. (BIL) is currently filtering the millions of applications received from unemployed women.

BIL realized that many women were looking for fulfillment outside of their household works by starting their small enterprise.
So, in 2018, BIL launched the ‘Britannia MarieGold-My startup’ initiative as a campaign to fulfill the need for homemakers who want to become women entrepreneurs.

According to the Vice President of the company, Ali Harris Shere, they chose the Marie Gold due to its association with the women as a buyer as well as a consumer.

Britannia Industries Ltd. (BIL) is currently filtering the millions of applications received from unemployed women. These women responded to an initiative launched by the Britannia company to make them entrepreneurs.

BIL realized that many women were looking for fulfillment outside of their household works by starting their small enterprise.
So, in 2018, BIL launched the ‘Britannia MarieGold-My startup’ initiative as a campaign to fulfill the need for homemakers who want to become women entrepreneurs. This campaign created one crore purse for the purpose. BIL realized that it could play a role in inspiring and supporting these women to chase their dreams and become a change-catalyst.

According to the Vice President of the company, Ali Harris Shere, they chose the Marie Gold due to its association with the women as a buyer as well as a consumer. They felt that there has a been significant evolution in the way a woman looks at things now. She is now looking beyond the home. She now has her dreams. He further added that they felt the need to help more women to participate in the process of growing the company.
