Some slogans like “Sachi Sarkar, Achi Sarkar” (honest government, good government) too were discussed but were not finalized.

The Congress’s media campaign for 2019 Lok Sabha elections could get delayed. The party chief Rahul Gandhi has sought more options after reviewing the campaign themes.

According to the sources, Rahul Gandhi on Thursday met his party members( mandated to design the campaign) and asked them to come up with more themes to take on the NDA government. Some members of the committee may meet again for theme finalizing.

Rahul Gandhi is learned to have been dissatisfied with a jingle that was a variation of the Chak De song from the epic movie of Shah Rukh Khan directed by Shimit Amin. Some slogans like “Sachi Sarkar, Achi Sarkar” (honest government, good government) too were discussed but were not finalized.

According to a Congress source, the Congress president was not entirely satisfied with the creative aspects of the campaign. So he has asked to come up with more options, but that could push back the entire campaign by a few days. The publicity committee which is headed by Anand Sharma is likely to meet with more themes next week.
