This week, the commands that will automatically execute on board Schiaparelli during its descent, demonstration landing and surface science mission were uploaded by the ExoMars/TGO mission control team at ESOC. Finalising the commands is a major milestone that has involved close teamwork between the mission controllers at ESOC, the ExoMars project at ESTEC and experts from Thales Alenia Space (Italy). We arrive on the 19th!
Schiaparelli command sequence sent to space
On 3 October, part of the overall command sequence for the Schiaparelli module was uploaded to ESA’s TGO, now enroute to the Red Planet.
