A Federal judge in Hawaii, has blocked US President Donald J. Trump‘s brand new travel ban, a day before it was due to start.
The ruling by US District Judge Derrick Watson stops the executive order pertaining to travel ban from going into effect from Thursday.
Hawaii is one among several US states making an attempt to stop the ban.
The directive would have positioned a 90-day ban on people from 6 primarily Muslim nations and a 120-day ban on refugees.
President Trump has vowed to battle the ruling, describing it as judicial overreach.
President Trump had earlier stated, it could stop terrorists from coming into the US however critics say it is discriminatory.
