Making her debut in politics, Congress general secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra along with brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi held a roadshow in Lucknow on Monday.

At the roadshow, Rahul Gandhi told Congress workers that the party will not sit still if it forms a government in the state.

Priyanka’s rally in Lucknow holds significance because Uttar Pradesh sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha.

At the roadshow, Rahul Gandhi told Congress workers that the party will not sit still if it forms a government in the state. This is the first public rally of Priyanka Gandhi after taking charge as Congress’s general secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East). Priyanka’s rath started its journey at around 1:17 pm yesterday. But their mission was halted mid-way by dangling wires as the cavalcade travelled through Burlington crossroad in Lucknow.

Priyanka’s rally in Lucknow holds significance because Uttar Pradesh sends 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha. Priyanka Gandhi’s roadshow in Lucknow will also be the Congress’s first mega show of strength in Uttar Pradesh before 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
