The choice of Andhra Pradesh as the destination for the new manufacturing unit was due to the State’s ‘ease of doing business’ and growing focus on ‘Make in India’.

Voltas Limited, who are the leading producers of air-conditioners in India plans to set up a new manufacturing facility. This will spread over 65 acres, at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh with a minimal cost of ₹500 crore.
According to a statement given on behalf of the company, this facility would initially manufacture and assemble air-conditioners and related products with a total capacity of more than one million units. But it is expected to start rolling out products from the second half of 2020. Their new facility called OEM base for home appliances will generate new employment opportunities for the local people.
OEM base would be one of the first cooling appliances units in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The choice of Andhra Pradesh as the destination for the new manufacturing unit was due to the State’s ‘ease of doing business’ and growing focus on ‘Make in India’.
