Agri-cooperation: India, US agree to renew cooperation in Agriculture

Taking Agricultural sector to the next level, India and the US will now focus on renewing cooperation in agriculture and initiate immediate steps for reestablishing the MoU marked in 2010 at the most punctual conceivable with consideration of new areas in the light of changing necessities and circumstances.

Richard Verma, the recently selected US Ambassador, on Friday approached Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and talked about issues of common collaboration furthermore participation for ensuring World food Security.

As understood the reports, the US Ambassador put on record his appreciation for the work done by legislature of India and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the Agriculture Food Security Program.

India Agriculture Minister expressed enthusiasm for the Innovation used by US for climate forecasting for enhancing readiness and also redressal of issues brought on by common disasters.
