All private services are expected to cost more up in Andhra Pradesh as Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has approved the proposal of the finance department to levy user charges on private organizations.

All services in the state like treatment in private hospitals, purchasing a cup of tea from local hotels, buying goods etc are expected to cost more soon. The proposal was put forward by the Principal Secretary of Finance Department, PV Ramesh.

The state government is preparing to levy at least 1 per cent user charge on all private services, which could fetch around Rs 2,000 Crore per year revenue to the government. The cabinet is yet to finalize the percentage though.

The financially crippled government is working on all levels to increase its revenue. This scheme is expected to further increase the already boiling prices. Apart from the high level people, even commoners will have to bear this burden.
