AP Nativity issue: Students and Employees Angry

Employees and Students are strongly opposing the decision of the AP govt. to give local status to only those who return to AP by June 2017. Many student and youth organizations have already announced that they would soon launch protest against this decision of govt.

They are demanding a clarity on the announcement as it might adversely affect the careers of students. The AP students, who join in Telangana engineering colleges this year, will not complete their course before 2017 so they cannot move to AP.

Employee associations have also requested the government to consider the students who cannot finish their courses by 2017 or in the middle of courses by 2017.

A section of intellectuals opine that there would be sudden influx of settlers from Telangana to AP and it will only create more problems to the govt. as local job-seekers can never compete with those moving from in and around Hyderabad.

It is clear that AP lags behind in framing rules to decide nativity, when compared to Telangana.
