Unorganized workers now can subscribe to the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan (PMSYM) scheme. It provides an assured monthly pension of Rs 3,000, at 3.13 lakh common service centers (CSCs) across the country.

Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced the social security scheme in the Interim Budget 2019-20.

For mobilizing and registering beneficiaries across India, the government has roped in CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd.

Unorganized workers now can subscribe to the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan (PMSYM) scheme. It provides an assured monthly pension of Rs 3,000, at 3.13 lakh common service centers (CSCs) across the country. According to an official, CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd has begun the registration process for the PMSYM scheme.

They are covering unorganized sector workers of age between 18 and 40 years. In this way, it’s making them eligible for a minimum monthly pension of Rs 3,000 after the age of 60. Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced the social security scheme in the Interim Budget 2019-20.

It is targeted at unorganized sector workers with a monthly income of up to Rs 15,000. The labor ministry is implementing it. Their target is to cover ten crore informal sector workers in five years. For mobilizing and registering beneficiaries across India, the government has roped in CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd.
