British MP’s on 19th of October voted to postpone a decision on Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal, arguing they required extra time to review its contents before deadline (October 31).

Lawmakers supported an amendment which effectively forces the government to request an extension until January next year.

But, Boris Johnson on the other hand has vowed to stick to an October 31 Brexit deadline.

Policy remains unchanged, says Boris Johnson.

He gave a statement in the House of Commons and said, “since I became Prime Minister I‘ve said we must get on and get Brexit done on October 31 so that this country can move on.”

“Policy remains unchanged, no delays, and I will continue to do all I can to get Brexit done on October 31 and I continue to commend this excellent deal,” he said.

“Next week the Government will introduce the legislation needed for UK to leave the EU with new deal on October 31,” he added.
