The report titled ‘Capital Acquisition in Indian Air Force’ will be submitted by Junior Finance Minister P Radhakrishnan.

The Congress-led opposition has always accused the government of buying the Rafale jets at double the prices negotiated during the previous UPA government.

According to the sources, the main contours of the CAG report may also comprise 11 acquisitions made by the IAF.

The report titled ‘Capital Acquisition in Indian Air Force’ will be submitted by Junior Finance Minister P Radhakrishnan. The report will include all the audit details of the performance and a list of acquisitions made by the Air Force. The story may also give some clarity on the defense purchase parameters which is included in the Rafale deal.

However, it is improbable that the report will reveal the pricing of the Rafale fight jets. The Congress-led opposition has always accused the government of buying the Rafale jets at double the prices negotiated during the previous UPA government. Thus, it can cause a loss to the exchequer.

According to the sources, the main contours of the CAG report may also comprise 11 acquisitions made by the IAF. It also includes the purchase of 36 Rafale fighter jets from France. It may also contain the “comparative evaluation” on the bases of availability and market price of the fighter jet components during the deal.
