Ending extreme poverty will take a global effort. Last week, the World Bank’s member countries endorsed a capital increase so we can increase our impact. Find out what World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim had to say at our staff townhall:

The strong support for our capital increase at the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings is testament to the work my colleagues do on the ground every day and demonstrates a renewed confidence in global cooperation and multilateralism. As Eugene Meyer, the first President of the World Bank once said, “each of us must be concerned with the economic development of the world as a whole, for we shall prosper individually only as we prosper collectively.” Today, in our staff townhall, we discussed how to be bigger, bolder, and better in order to support our client countries the best we can, and reach the goal we have set for ourselves: A world free of poverty. http://wrld.bg/JnWT30jGjXn
