Filmmaker Teja: Mahesh’s Adoption of Villages is only to Reduce Income Tax

Telugu film director Teja, who has the reputation of creating controversies before the release of his movies, has hit headlines toady by making controversial statements against superstar Mahesh Babu and few other celebs.

Since his upcoming film ‘Hora Hori’ is slated for release on 11th of this month, he attended a pressmeet as part of the promotions. When he was asked about his view on superstar’s adoption of two villages after the release of ‘Srimanthudu’, Teja was quick to rule out that Mahesh has any kind of social service in his mind.

Teja added that Mahesh has done this only to reduce his Income Tax deductions. Teja concluded that if Mahesh really had social responsibility in his mind, he would have done it during the time of ‘Okkadu’ itself.

The eccentric director indirectly said that during the times of ‘Okkadu’, Mahesh didn’t have huge income but as he is earning Crores now through films and brand endorsements, he adopted villages to reduce his income tax deduction.

Fans of Mahesh are now expressing their outrage over Teja on social media.
