Forbes ‘Global 2000’ List: India’s 56 Companies Are World’s Most Powerful

According to the 2015 Forbes ‘Global 2000’ list,  India is home to 56 of the world’s biggest and Most Powerful organizations.

The list is topped by the US where country’s 579 organisations got the place on the list.

The list a depiction of the world’s largest firms, and demonstrates the predominance of US and China in the current global business scene.

The US and China part the main 10 spots for a second year in succession.

When it comes to India, Reliance Industries stands out of 56 Indian organizations in the Global 2000 list. As list says, Reliance Industries is positioned 142 on the list with a market estimation of $42.9 billion.

The other Indian firms on the list are SBI ranked 152, ONGC (183), Tata Motors (263), ICICI Bank (283), Indian oil (349), HDFC Bank (376), NTPC (431), TCS (485), Bharti Airtel (506), Axis Bank (558), Infosys (672), Bharat Petroleum (757), Wipro (811), Tata Steel (903) and Adani Enterprises (944).

With 218 organizations, Japan slid to the third spot.
