Karnataka has become the First State in the country to provide Legal Protection to Good Samaritans.
Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India has recently given assent to a bill providing legal protection to the Good Samaritans in Karnataka , who help accident victims with emergency medical care within the golden hour.
The bill – Karnataka Good Samaritan and Medical Professional (Protection and Regulation during Emergency Situations) Bill, 2016 — received the President’s assent on 30th of September.
With this, Karnataka has become the first state in the country to provide legal protection to good Samaritans.
