Hockey Champions Trophy: India beat Great Britain; 2nd Place In Points Table

India men’s Hockey team on Saturday defeated Great Britain 2-1 in their second round-robin match of the Champions Trophy in London.

Mandeep Singh and Harmanpreet Singh sounded the board for India, with Ashley Jackson pulling one back late for the local favourites.

India now have 4 points from 2 games and are second in the 6-team points table.

They had held Olympic Champions and holders Germany to a 3-3 draw in their opener. Australia also have 4 points, but they are at the top by virtue of a better goal difference.

India will play its third game on Monday against Belgium.
