PM Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the basic Indian economy is sound and is on the way to becoming a $5 trillion economy soon.
While addressing the India-Korea business Symposium in Seoul, PM Modi said that India is now a more open economy. From the last four years, it has attracted $250 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
He said that India has jumped to 77th spot on the World Bank’s ease of doing business ranking on the back of reforms.

While addressing the India-Korea Business Symposium in Seoul, PM Modi said that India is now a more open economy. From the last four years, it has attracted $250 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). He further added that no other large economy in the world has grown at 7 percent year after year.
He said that India has jumped to 77th spot on the World Bank’s ease of doing business ranking on the back of reforms. It is determined to break into the top 50 next year. He also said that the government’s role is to provide a support system and India has emerged as a land of opportunities.
