International Women’s Day fever: Mamata Banerjee started her rally on the D-day

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee notified that she would start her Padyatra (rally) on the International Women’s Day in Kolkata.

Mamata was delighted to sight the fact that 35 percent of the seats are availed by women who are MPs in the 16th Lok Sabha.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) announced its beginning of party camping for 2014 Parliamentary and 2016 Assembly elections on the same date.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee notified that she would start her Padyatra (rally) on the International Women’s Day in Kolkata. She began her rally at noon from Shraddhananada Park and concluded near Esplanade.

The rally aimed to create New India, United India, and Strong India. Mamata was delighted to sight the fact that 35 percent of the seats are availed by women who are MPs in the 16th Lok Sabha even when the Parliament has not passed the Reservation for Women Bill.

Mamata described women to be the backbone of Indian Society and congratulated women on the International Women’s Day. She emphasized that her government is purely dedicated to Women empowerment and the CM recently launched” Swasthya Sathi” a health insurance smart card for them.

Coincidentally, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) announced its beginning of party camping for 2014 Parliamentary and 2016 Assembly elections on the same date. Banerjee who is an anti-BJP had organized a massive rally on 19th January a gave a call to oust the Modi Government.

Later on, BJP state President mocked at Mamta by saying from the last seven years, in TMC regime it has seen only atrocities against women.
