The police commissioner of Kolkata, Rajeev Kumar and former TMC MP Kunal Ghosh were questioned yesterday for the second day by senior CBI officers in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam.
FIR was registered against BJP leader Mukul Roy yesterday in connection with the murder of Trinamool Congress MLA Satyajit Biswas in West Bengal’s Nadia district.
Satyajit Biswas, MLA from Krishnaganj was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Saturday evening inside a Saraswati puja function at Phoolbari village.
Police commissioner of Kolkata, Rajeev Kumar and former TMC MP Kunal Ghosh were questioned yesterday for the second day by senior CBI officers in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam. Kumar was grilled by three senior CBI officers as per the directions of CBI about his alleged role in tampering of evidence in the case. Shillong has been chosen as the neutral meeting place by the court to avoid unnecessary controversy. The CBI had turned towards the Supreme Court after its officials were opposed by Kolkata Police.
