Meanwhile… our European mission control centre ESOC in Darmstadt dresses up for its 50th anniversary, in preparation for open its gate to the public for the ‘Long Night of the Stars’ on 8 September. Since 1967 more than 70 satellites belonging to ESA and its partners have been successfully controlled from Darmstadt, Germany.
