Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister credits success of Ujjwala to…

The Minister of Petroleum and Natural gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today interacted with Field Officials entrusted with the implementation of Pradhan Mnatri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), in connection with successful achievement of release of 5 crore connections within a short span of 28 months, which is 8 months ahead of the original target period.

The Field Officials representing three oil marketing Companies (OMCs) interacted with the Minister over ’Audio bridge’ and shared their experiences of successful execution of the Scheme. Some of them termed it as their ’life-time’ opportunity to serve the poor households, which was otherwise never thought of.

Shri Pradhan credited the successful implementation and achievement of 5 crore target to all the hardworking and enthusiastic officials of LPG vertical of OMCs, involved directly and indirectly. He commended their commitment and dedication to carry forward the vision of the Prime Minister to serve the poor despite challenges faced at the field level. Further, the Minister urged them to consolidate the gains made in Ujjwala by means of ensuring quality services to the beneficiaries.
