A Kashmiri student was expelled from college in Dehradun for making alleged objectionable comments on the Pulwama bomb attack.

A student was suspended after he allegedly commented “Aaj to real PUBG ho Gaya” on Facebook hours after CRPF jawans were killed in Pulwama attack in the Kashmir valley on Thursday.

The college issued a show-cause notice to the student and asked him why he should not be booked for his ‘seditious’ comment and also be expelled from the college.

A Kashmiri student was expelled from college in Dehradun for making alleged objectionable comments on the Pulwama bomb attack. A student of the first year, radiology and imaging technology, at a private medical college in Dehradun was suspended after he allegedly commented “Aaj to real PUBG ho Gaya” on Facebook hours after CRPF jawans were killed in Pulwama attack in the Kashmir valley on Thursday.

PUBG is a favorite online game where players in the military uniform fight to remain alive. It is known as Unknown’s Battlegrounds. The student, who commented while chatting with a fellow student on Facebook, also made several remarks that his friend didn’t like and asked him to apologize.

He also took screenshots of the chat and posted them in the college’s official group. The screenshots took no time got viral which led to sparked tension in the area. As a result, several organizations protested in front of the institution on Friday and demanded action against the student. The college issued a show-cause notice to the student and asked him why he should not be booked for his ‘seditious’ comment and also be expelled from the college. He has been given a chance to raise his clarification in front of a probe committee.
