Rs 50 Crore copyright suit against Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

According to fresh reports, Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad written blockbuster film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has been slapped with Rs 50 Crore copyright infringement suit by writer, director and producer Mahim Joshi.

As per Mahim, he had registered his story longtime back with the Indian Film and Television Producers Council and the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers.

When Mahim recently approached Viacom 18 with his story, he was shocked to see the similarities to his story and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Parveez Shaikh of Viacom 18 is also co-credited in the screenplay of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Mahim has now approached the court. Following the allegations of Mahim, court saw the detailed comParison of his story and Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s scenes. Indeed there were several similarities so the court has now asked producers Rockline Venkatesh, Salman Khan, writer Vijayendra Prasad, director Kabir Khan and all others to respond to the allegations by 21st October.
