India’s major IT solutions company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has donated Rs 231 crore ($35 million) to the US based Carnegie Mellon University.

The total amount signifies the greatest corporate donation to the university from outside the United States.

The donation is going to be utilized to provide for a modern facility, which will support education and research by Carnegie Mellon University faculty and students.

According to TCS’s statement, the donation additionally will endow Presidential Fellowships and also Scholarships, more access to a Carnegie Mellon University education for exceptional students.
