TWO Issues: China, US Hold Talks To Bridge Cyber Security Differences

An important round of cyber security talks have taken place between Chinese and US officials in Beijing.

The talks centered primarily around law enforcement, as well as potential establishment of a hotline connection to warn each other of potential cyber attacks.

Internet technology expert Zhao Liang in a statement said, China needs help in thwarting outside attacks.

Liang hoped that the high-level dialogue between the two biggest Internet giants of China and the United States to exchange information on some hot issues and incidents concerning cyber crimes, remove misunderstanding and establish a cooperative mechanism that will help raise Internet security as a whole.

Over cyberspace issues, talks between Chinese and US officials first began a year ago in Washington.
