YSR Congress party chief and leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday met with Chief Election Commissioner of India in New Delhi and urged to remove the names of closely 60 lakh defective voters from the voters list in Andhra Pradesh.

YS Jagan submitted a memorandum to Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Kumar Arora against ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national President and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu.

YSR Congress chief Jagan Reddy alleged that the government of Andhra Pradesh has done wrongdoings in the voters’ list.

YS Jagan also raised the concerns over the duplicate entries in the Andhra Pradesh state voter list and the government has removed nearly 50 lakh voters’ names from the list.

Talking to press, Jagan Reddy said his party acknowledged 52.67 lakh faulty and duplicate voters in September 2018.

Reddy also claimed that the defective voters list increased by 59.18 lakh during TDP government.

He further said, out of 3.69 crore voters in the state, if roughly 60 lakhs are defective, it severely reflects the election process.
