Arunachal Pradesh CM calls meeting post unrest in the state

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu has invited all the political parties and members of the different community- based organizations for a meeting.

Three people were killed in firing by the Security forces during 48-hour Shutdown called by 18 indigenous organizations.

The agitators set everything in the fire, they burnt cars, uprooted the venue of the first Itanagar International Film Festival, damaged roadside property and also set houses owned by the BJP ministers on fire.


Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu has invited all the political parties and members of the different community- based organizations for a meeting. It was followed after the unrest triggered by the government’s now abandoned move to grant permanent resident certificates (PRC) to six non-tribal communities.

According to Mr. Khandu, he has talked to a few organizations of different communities over the phone and called for a meeting with them at 10 am to discuss the present situation. Along with that, he has called for an all-party meeting to have a detailed discussion regarding the recent case and the PRC issues.
