No group has taken any responsibility for the attack; neither BJP has issued an official statement regarding the same.

The official website of BJP was hacked recently, and the fake offensive content posted on the site has since been going viral on social media. The website bjp.org stopped responding to user requests and directed them to open an ‘Error 522’message page on Tuesday. Generally, such messages appear when a website is under a ‘distributed denial-of-service’ attack.

As soon as people found that the official website of BJP has been hacked, Twitter exploded with the screenshots of the abusive content allegedly posted on the site by the hackers. The content includes foul language and memes.

Congress Twitter member, Divya Spandana, shared a screenshot of a meme featuring PM Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Many other Opposition spokespersons active on social media platforms were quick to leap on the opportunity. No group has taken any responsibility for the attack; neither BJP has issued an official statement regarding the same.
