Top ministers in the ruling party, who maintained complete silence for a week on the details of IAF strike in on J-e-M camp in Pakistan, have now broken their silence to speak in different voices and add to the confusion.
This was seen on Tuesday when defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government’s position was not to give any casualty figure in the IAF bombing, while Home Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the number of terrorists killed in Balakot air strike would be known “today or tomorrow.”
Both the defense as well as home ministers sit on the Cabinet Committee on Security led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and have met twice since the air strikes took place.

Home Minister claimed that the National technical Research Organisation(NTRO) had informed about the presence of around 300 active mobile phones at the site before the air strike, hinting the number of terrorists killed be 300.
