American professional golfer Tiger Woods made history on 28th of October when he won the Zozo Championship in Japan for his 82nd US Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Tour victory, equalling Sam Jackson Snead’s 54-year-old record.

The 15-time major winner held off the challenge of home favourite Hideki Matsuyama to win by three shots at the tournament.

This was his first outing since a left knee surgery in August.

Woods is widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers in the history of the sport, and as one of the Most Famous athletes of all time.

Woods first reached the number one position in the world rankings in June 1997.

In May 2019, Woods was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and is the fourth golfer to receive the honor.
