Tea and Cancer Prevention: Green tea may hep reduce prostate cancer risk

In a new research, researchers have revealed that a component found in green tea may help decrease development of prostate cancer in men facing high risk.

A group of researchers led by Nagi B. Kumar at Moffitt Cancer Center surveyed the safety and adequacy of the dynamic component in green tea called, “catechins” to counteract prostate cancer development in men who have premalignant sores.

As understood the study further deeply, about twenty percent of green tea is consumed in Asian nations where prostate cancer passing rates are among the lowest on the planet.

The study also revealed that green tea catechins also prevent and reduce tumour growth in animal models.
