A brand-new research finding has said that the universe’s first-ever colour was an orange-white glow that originated as blackbody radiation.

According to an article published in Universe Today, right after the Big Bang occurred temperatures were very high that light didn’t exist.

380,000 years after the Big Bang the universe had cooled down to 3,000 K and had started radiating the coloured light, it said.

“Many objects get their color from the type of material they are made of, but the color of a blackbody depends only on its temperature,” it said.

A blackbody at about 3,000 K would have a bright orange-white glow, similar to the warm light of an old 60-watt light bulb,” it added.
